Mad for the Komune Bali Pro

Mad for the Komune Bali Pro

Today marks the beginning of the 1 Star QS event that will see Keramas packed till the 12th with quality surfing action, as a co-sanctioned ASP and Asian Surfing Championship Tour (ASC) bring us this stellar surfing event.

The lower qualifying series will give up-and-coming surfers a boost for ASP QS rankings on one of the best right handers on Bali. Known affectionately as 'K-Mas' or Keramas, it's that same right hander that saw John John Florence do the highest alley pop ever (landed) in a competition during the Oakley Pro last year.

It may not be the biggest swell Keramas has seen but the event came throught with alot of waves. Heavy locals are amongst those in this qualifying series including Lee Wilson, Tipi Jabrik, Dede Suryana, Oney Anwar, Marlon Gerber, Pepen Hendrik, Made Widiarta and more we will get to see throughout the event. A great spectacle for Indonesian sufing and the ASC.

With the boys from the Mad Hueys presenting their unique brand and the laid back meets glam-pack surf resort that is Komune, surfers and spectators will be in for a fun couple of days come the second week of October. To check out the webcast live or results for today log into ASPWorldTour.com.
