Narwastu at the Bali Arts Festival 2015

Narwastu Art Community will perform a concert of music and dance at the annual Bali Arts Festival. Musicians, dancers and singers are all from our south Bali community: expats and Balinese alike.

Four original works will be performed:
E...Sou...A? (World Premiere) by Andys Skordis
In Heat (World Premiere) by Ari Rudenko
Legong Satya Wecana (Choreographed by Ni Ketut Arini)
Prabawa Santha (featuring Dewa Irawan)

Please note that the Art Festival schedule on the web and in print incorrectly indicates the performance on 3 July at 8pm and also 5 July at 11am on the Ayodya stage. These are incorrect.

The performance is in the Ksirarnawa Indoor Theatre (above the exhibition hall) at 11am on 5 July. This is a free concert.

PENAMPAHAN KUNINGAN Penampahan Kuningan is the day before the actual celebration of Kuningan, which is the day that marks the end of the festive season on the island, by the departure of the ancestors, back to their own world. KUNINGAN Kuningan is the day that marks the end of the festive season on the island. On this day, ceremonies and rituals are held in the temples to pay respect to the ancestors who are leaving to return to their own world. The ceremonies are colorful, soulful and pretty similar to Galungan in most ways. Rituals for the same purpose are ...

MANIS KUNINGAN Manis Kuningan is the day after Kuningan where people spend their time with their family and loved ones, mostly in their hometown. Pretty similar to Manis Kuningan, there are no religious ceremonies during this day yet you can most certainly notice the festivity and more colorful version of the island while you see people ...

ARTIST OF THE WEEK

Over the years, this Artist of the Week segment has kind of proven to us here that this island is indeed blessed with such a long list of musicians of all kinds, and not to mention a playground to stop by for those amazing ones from all over the globe!
