Stevans
Switzerland. A small European country mostly famous through flattering, but outdated clichés:
Its fabulous lakes, its mountains and forest landscape, its banks and chocolate, its law-abiding citizen and clean cities. Rarely, we hear about its music scene abroad (except maybe, in Deep Purple’s “Smoke On the Water”, but that’s another story). Big mistake!
So we would like to take the opportunity to introduce Stevans. The electro pop rock combo has been on the Geneva rock scene for ten years now to become one of today’s most refreshing and energized European band.
Like any genuinely talented band, they have sharpened their weapons on stage, with uncompromising as much as electrifying performances, quickly earning respect and recognition in Switzerland and abroad.
Sharing billboards with the likes of Natalie Imbruglia, The Servant, Editors, Coldplay, Kaiser Chiefs and Snow Patrol, they have moved from small intimate stages to big places.
Ten years and three brilliant album later, Yvan
Franel - the multi-instrumentalist
mastermind behind Stevans - shows an insatiable thirst for exploration with "Rupture" (the title is pretty self-explanatory), elegantly moving Stevans' style from their Brit-pop freshmen years to new pumped-up electro pop rock territories.
At Baliradio.net, we truly hope that their so far successful career will lead them to come play in Bali and introduce themselves to the Indonesian (and more generally Asian) crowd. This is not a wish on a fictional bucketlist, it is actually an actual request from Baliradio.net to all of you concert promoters, venue owners, festival organizers!
