ROLLFAST: The Young Combo with the Classic Rock Sound
Bali has been pretty big on rock bands lately, and we're super excited to present this week's artist of the week; five young guys, a combo that can easily pose for a poster to represent today's new generation of the island's indie musicians. Meet Rollfast!!!
Rollfast equals Agha on vocals, Gungwah on guitar, Aan on bass, Bayu on guitar and Maurits on drums, and together they really know how to rock the stage!
Formed in 2011, Rollfast added an awesome addition to Bali's list of rock bands. And these ones really chose to go all the way, creating and presenting psychedelic rock sounds with a hint of blues and jazz whenever they see fit.
Watching them live is definitely fun, as they obviously look young yet their sound effect experiments, improvisations and Agha's vocal character does bring us a blend of sound that reminds us of the classic rock era decades ago as they blend and mix different kind of sounds and styles, going back and forth between decades, reminding us of that certain feel we catch when listening to our favorite classic rock tunes. And that feel we get right there, is prove that they did a great job adapting some of their main influences such as Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd and a bunch of other rock legends into their own final style. A style that they really pull off!
While busy recording their debut album, Rollfast found themselves a big break where they got the chance to go on their very first international tour to Japan to perform on a music festival presented by GURUGURU BRAIN and TOKYO PSYCH FEST! An awesome start to introduce their new singles it was indeed.
Exciting as it is, Rollfast agreed to pay us a visit at the studio and share their stories from how it all started up to their very recent ones they experienced during their first tour outside the country. Check out all the fun and tales on the exclusive interview and live session on the radio at Sunday, October 5, 2024 at 4 PM Bali time! And don't miss the singles played every day for a full week at 7 am, 12 am, 7 pm and midnight!
Rock on, Rollfast!!!

Electric Cadillac is the name of this week's Artist of the Week and the band's name was inspired by the fact that Cadillacs were totally one of the symbols of the blues era -which is the basic of the band's genre-, brought by a generation of these days, where most things are electric. And that theory and philosophy right there is one of the ...
This week’s Artist of the Week is a quite new band which has made a nice addition to Jakarta’s list of today’s indie bands. KYN is the name and in case you’re wondering how to read and pronounce it, it actually stands for KHAYALAN which is Indonesian for ‘imagination’ or ...
We’ve met Dee before. She was flying solo back then; fabulously adding a new bold and memorable color to the best live music stages on the island, as she moved from Jakarta to Bali. With her wonderful talent poured in her soulful performances, she’d never just end up as merely another face or name in the entertainment scene; regardless the ...
This week's Artist of the Week is a beautiful familiar face who has been in Bali last year and also earlier this year, spreading her love through her wonderful beats, playing the percussion with Nahko and Medicine for the People. We are proud to present Hope Medford! Hope has launched her second solo album, Purify, presenting us another side of ...
After having Shine The Shadows over for an interview at our studio, a few days later we came by to Boshe VVIP Club in Tuban, Kuta to watch their live performance, and we discovered this other fellow metal band, Nothing Lasts Forever!!! It turned out that they were actually the ones being celebrated that night, as they were having their debut EP ...
