Hanamura
After two weeks of metalcore we are now bringing you another band of young local talents with just as much cool energy! Please meet Hanamura, one of the island's indie rock band consisting of Vendi on vocals and guitar, Wira on bass, Gery on lead guitar and Gus Ari on drums.
The band got together in 2009 and through time they had been around on many different events for various crowds and local music communities around the island, resulting in a pretty awesome reputation among indie music lovers especially those who are into emo, pop, punk and rock, as those are the genres that influences their music the most.
Most of their songs are about life and whatever they have experienced in it, which is most probably something that you have experienced as well, which makes their songs easy listening plus easy to relate to. One small problem is that all their songs are in Bahasa Indonesia, making it a little tough for you to relate to the lyrics if you don't understand any Hehehe
They have released their debut mini album entitled ëBerbeda di Mata yang Berbeda' which translates into ëdifferent to a different eye' in 2010, followed by their sophomore album which was launched in 2012, under the title ëJutaan Detik Setelah Detik Ini' which translates ëmillions of seconds after this second'. This album shows the fact that this band is still exploring and expanding their variety range in their creative work. They are most definitely still evolving and it looks like we have something nice to look forward to.
Tune in for the interview and live session on Sunday 4 pm, and find out their stories! And in the meantime, listen to their tracks for a whole week long at 9 a.m., 12 a.m., 7 p.m, and 00 a.m. Let's rock!
