Exposed! The Rotarians.
Folks, I’m pretty sure most of you have heard of the Rotary Club, but do you
know who they are and what it is exactly that they do? What would it take to “join
the club”?
This week’s Exposed! highlights everything you should, and need to know about,
The Rotary Club.
To put it simply, the Rotarians are just people wanting to give back to the
community, both in small, and global scale. However it doesn’t stop there. Of
course, many of us have the intention to do good, but are we committed enough
to pull it off?
This, is exactly where the Rotarians stands out. They are a community built on
commitment, without which all good intent won’t be executed in timely manner.
So in order to be a part of The Rotary Club, you will need to dedicate most of
your time, energy, and really plunge yourself into it. This would explain their
membership policy which is by invitation only. They would assess the capability
of a person to carry on their dedication, and if you fit this requirement –
which is quite simple – then you’re in.
I had the opportunity to attend one of the meetings of the Canggu Rotary Club a
few weeks ago. I would describe this meeting as timely, compact, and wholesome.
They started with introductions of who’s who, addressing guest speakers, and
then move on to a presentation of the accomplishments the club has done for
time being. From the Nippers Projects, School Waste Management programs, to the
Gift of Sustainable Nutrition via Permaculture, Canggu Rotary Club has done
heaps of works for the surrounding community.
