SADHA KAPAL TEMPLE (PURA SADHA KAPAL)
Destroyed by an Earthquake in 1917, it was restored in the 1950’s. The Pura Sada is dedicated to the Hindu Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Pura Sadha Kapal is a beautiful red brick temple, with its famous carved and decorated Candi Betar (a 16 meter-high split gateway at the entrance), which are the only parts having survived the earthquake.
Also noticeable are the stone seats carved to honor worthy warriors who died on the battlefield.
