This is definitely not the first time for us to meet or even to feature Renprats as our Artist of the Week! Renprats has indeed been around with his list of different avatars of public figure roles that he has been performing for quite a while now! To mention a few, this fellow has been known for his career in skateboarding, modeling, acting, and of course the one that brought him here right now; music. 

In case you were wondering about the rather unusual name, Renprats stands for Reno Pratama, which is his full name. He started his career in skateboarding when he was only 9 years old, and achieved his first public recognition in the skateboarding scene through the national and international titles he won in various skateboarding competitions. This initial appearance as a public figure later on led his foot steps to the music scene, followed by his other careers as mentioned before.

Focusing on the musical side of Renprats, this guy started his journey in music back in 2002, as he started writing music and singing in his post-hardcore band called Accidental Hero, which also happens to be around until today. In 2007, he also formed a punk pop band project called "Namwols" with well-respected musician Enno "Netral". However, not long after, he decided to take a break from the music scene to focus on his other careers.

Even during his break, Renprats never really stopped writing songs. And now, after the years of hiatus, he recently decided that it was time for him to return to music! He is now back with a band named Renprats & the Hippiejump, carrying this genre and style that he calls "folkskateblues". Easy to guess, Renprats is the solo singer of this new indie band which happens to be under the management of Akar Records.

And yes, we'll make sure to reveal the mystery of what "folkskateblues" actually and specifically is during the radio and video interview we will share with you very soon! We are honestly curious about this one!
