BALI ELEPHANT PARK

BALI ELEPHANT PARK

This 2 ha tropical park, often considered as the best elephant park in the world (and distinguished member of the World Zoo Association), is, well, all about elephants:

30 Sumatra Elephants play around in the water, perform tricks like painting (shows only at certain hours), and take you around on their back for a 15 minutes tour in the nearby forest. You can get pretty close to them and even hand-feed them. Of course, don’t expect to see them roaming totally free but it is still great distraction for the kids (and adults alike, if you like elephants, that is).

The park also displays the only mammoth skeleton in South East Asia. There is a 200 tables restaurant and a gift shop.

Negara, the main town in West Bali, is famous for races of a particular kind: The Mekepung is a bull’s race held each year during harvest festivities. Jockeys are elegantly dressed and each bull is decorated with colorful ornaments, wooden bells and painted horns. They parade, presenting their horned mounts to a cheering crowd of ...

KUTA

Once a small village, Kuta is the heart of tourism in Bali, with its good sides and, well, maybe not so good ones. Virgin Beach (White Sand Beach)

Amlapura and its surrounding areas really have some pretty incredible places to offer to those who prefer to be out in the nature. We mean those kinds of places that still have the raw natural beauty and that pleasantly ...

UBUD

Located at the very center of Bali, Ubud is famous worldwide for being the cultural and artistic center of the island. Ubud is a quiet village with a refreshingly cooler temperature and atmosphere. Some travelers go to Ubud to escape from the Kuta’s effervescence, some to quench their thirst for art, some for shopping and sightseeing, ...

Penelokan means “place to look”. A well-deserved name indeed! Near the North East coast, Penelokan village, perched at 1’450 m. is a panoramic spot to marvel at the majestic view of Mt Batur. The best time to enjoy the panorama at its best would be in June and July at sunrise on the left side of the mountain. It is ...
