Interstellar: Presenting a Monthly Audio-Visual Playground in Bali, Before Heading for the Eclipse Festival in Sulawesi!

It is safe to say that by now, many of us have been aware of the noise that Interstellar has made as they announced the Eclipse Festival 2016 to be held in Palu, Central Sulawesi on March 7-11, 2015.

So, if you are wondering why the festival is held up there all the way in Sulawesi, the answer to it is very simple and practical. Sulawesi is simply one of the few locations in Indonesia where the total solar eclipse will be fully visible, with an approximate totality of 2 minutes 55 seconds. And that duration right there equals a rare moment of one of the longest eclipses seen in the history of earth.

The festival has an impressive, broad and diverse line-up of nearly 100 artists to perform throughout the 5-day celebration of the solar eclipse which will take place on March 9, 2016.

Through their official website and festival trailer, Interstellar has succeeded to capture the attention of various crowds through the excellent colorful features which are presented to give a sneak peek of what this festival is all about.

Following the announcement about this potentially groundbreaking festival in Sulawesi, Interstellar has now announced about their new series of monthly events to be held at Koh in Seminyak, Bali, before going all the way to the festival days. This soon to be launched monthly event goes by the name Interstellar Systems.

Through their press release, Interstellar explained that until recently, there was no venue that was suited for the type of music that they wanted to push. Then Koh opened and offered its industrial setting and high quality sound system, allowing for an immersive dance experience similar to well-known techno clubs in Europe.

On the first edition which will be held on November 14, 2015, Interstellar Systems presents Rabih Beaini a.k.a Morphosis, who is a Morphine records boss and cult techno and experimental artist, based in Berlin. The evening will also be supported by Interstellar residents; Cabbit, Cajak and 3HM.

And aside from that list of audio treats, the visuals during the night will be just as great! Interstellar artist, Punkadelic, will do his part and transform Koh with artwork and decorations, letting the audio and visual get along and play, and do what they do to the party’s atmosphere.

The second edition of Interstellar Systems will be held on the same venue on December 23, 2015, and is most likely taking things up to another level! The event will present techno legend Marcus Henriksson a.k.a Minilogue, delivering his signature blend of trance inducing hypnotic grooves, also accompanied by another quality visual performance by local artist VJ Tengu.
