IndonesiaTIC: The Knowledge of Nine Provinces in One Stop!

IndonesiaTIC: The Knowledge of Nine Provinces in One Stop!

Nusantara is a term that has been used to refer to Indonesia since the 14th century, when this country still consisted of kingdoms spread around the islands in this beautiful archipelago, centuries before the initiative and struggle of forming the united republic that it is today.

Nusantara derives from Old Javanese and it literally translates into archipelago. It expresses the unique quality of this country which is blessed with such rich diversity that comes as a very natural result brought by the geographical condition. The diverse culture, tradition, tribes and nature of all these islands definitely makes Indonesia a very interesting destination.

Being in the country’s spotlight of most visited tourism destination, Bali has become a gateway to Indonesia. Acknowledging that fact, the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economics has developed a new tourism information facility in the heart of Kuta, Bali. The facility is named Indonesia Tourism Information Center and it has representatives from 9 different provinces of Indonesia, which includes Lampung, Banten, DKI Jakarta, East Java, West Java, Central Java, West Nusa Tenggara and East Nusa Tenggara.

At the facility, they provide brochures, flyers, booklets, maps and all the information you might need about Bali and all these other regions which each have their own unique tourism attractions, all for free, providing honest information from a neutral angle.

Aside from the information center, they have also put together a nice cozy restaurant space where you can experience the culinary specialty from each region represented there.

The facility is located on Jalan Raya Kuta 2, Kuta, which is by the traffic light before the pretty well-known Pasar Kuta (Bemo Corner). Go check it out and spread the word! And check out our footage of the friendly soft opening gathering they hosted a couple weeks ago!
