ARTIST OF THE WEEK

Dee Dice

Dee Dice

Another exciting week for us at Baliradio.net! We are thrilled to present our Artist of the Week, a very soulful, talented and definitely remarkable musician from Jakarta who is currently based in Bali, meet Dee Dice!

I remember how we were hypnotized by Dee's performance when we first saw her jamming with a band on the stage of one of the island's cafes that presents the greatest musicians and bands. It was hard not to be amazed by her unique jazzy soulful voice and the powerful energy as well as her very easy going and joyful attitude, and of course we didn't pass the chance of knowing a little bit more of who she was and how she ended up here on the island.

Dee Dice started her music career in 2000 as the youngest lead singer on TVRI (the government owned national television channel) blues night with Oding Nasution and friends, and later on got to her mainstream music debut by joining the group 'TANGGA' in 2002 until 2005. TANGGA reached a success through their single hit from their debut album 'Terbaik Untukmu' which was written by Miss Dee herself.

Dee is currently exploring her passion for music in different paths and aiming for the international music industry. She is now working on several projects with musicians from around the world. She is now releasing her debut EP under the title The Butterflies, on the Dubai-based Raqs Records produced by the Dub Poets Collective. The Butterflies is soulful, passionate and beautiful record, mixing soul and hip-hop music.

It's a sure thing that Miss Dee Dice has tons of fascinating stories to be shared with us and that is exactly why Mr Ka Mau is going to have an exclusive interview session with her soon! In the meantime, tune in to listen to the tracks for a whole week long at 9 a.m., 12 a.m., 7 p.m, and 00 a.m. Tune in for the interview on Sunday 4 pm, and find out more stories, footage and surprises!

Rupture.- Stevans

Switzerland.  A small European country mostly famous through flattering, but outdated clichés:   Its fabulous lakes, its mountains and forest landscape, its banks and chocolate, its law-abiding citizen and clean cities. Rarely, we hear about its music scene abroad (except maybe, in Deep Purple’s “Smoke ...
